Offers: early bird and vouchers

Two ways to give customers money off: an early-bird discount that rewards ordering ahead (which makes your morning easier to plan), and vouchers you hand out for a first order, a flyer or an apology. Meal deals are the third, and live with your menu.

Early-bird discounts

Under Early bird, each discount is a rung: a saving for ordering a set time before your cut-off. "10% for 12 hours" means an order placed more than twelve hours before that day's cut-off saves 10%. To add one, enter how far ahead and the saving under Add a discount, and press Save.

  • You need an order cut-off first, because the rungs are measured back from it. It's set under Settings → Ordering & availability.
  • A customer gets the best rung they qualify for. Rungs don't add up.
  • Ordering earlier than a rung asks still counts: someone ordering two days ahead earns your twelve-hour discount too.
  • Your storefront says what's on offer ("Order ahead and save 10%"), and checkout shows the saving before the customer pays.

A rung that asks for more notice than you accept orders for can never apply. If you take orders up to two days ahead, a "three days ahead" rung is marked Never applies on the list. Lengthen how far ahead customers can order (under Settings → Ordering & availability) or shorten the rung.

Vouchers

A voucher adds a set amount of credit to a customer's account with your shop, which comes off their next order. Under Vouchers, choose New voucher:

  • Value (£): how much credit it gives, up to £1,000.
  • Checkout code (optional): a word customers type at checkout, such as STARTER5. It isn't case-sensitive. Leave it empty and the voucher is a shareable link instead: use Copy link on the list and send it however you like.
  • Usage limit (optional): how many customers can claim it. Worth setting on anything printed or posted publicly.
  • First order only: only customers who have never ordered from you can claim it, which makes it a "£5 off your first order" offer. A cancelled order doesn't count as having ordered, and nor do orders from other shops on Pekkish.
  • Starts on and Expires on (both optional), and Active to switch it on or off without deleting it.

The list shows each voucher's value, dates and how many times it has been claimed. A customer's unspent voucher credit shows on their page under Customers.

Meal deals

"Any sandwich, crisps and a drink for £6" is a meal deal, set up under Meal deals. It's covered with the rest of your menu in Building and editing your menu.

When offers meet

Offers combine: one order can have a meal deal, an early-bird saving and voucher or referral credit all at once, each shown as its own line at checkout and on the receipt. An order never goes below zero, and credit is only used up to what's still owed. If a customer's £10 of credit meets a £7 order, £3 stays on their account for next time.
