Your dashboard, analytics and notifications

The pages that tell you how the day is going and how the shop is doing: the dashboard for today, analytics for the longer view, and notifications for what reaches your phone and inbox without you looking.

The dashboard

Dashboard is where you land when you sign in. It's built around the question you have at half twelve: what's come in, and does anything need me?

  • Anything waiting on you comes first: orders or catering requests that need you to accept or decline, a printer that has gone quiet, an auto-print that failed. Customers can't complete those orders until you answer.
  • Orders today and Revenue today, each compared with yesterday.
  • Last 7 days of revenue as a small chart, and your storefront visits with how many of them became orders.
  • Recent orders, with a link through to today's list under Orders.

Analytics

Analytics is the longer view, for whichever period you choose:

  • Revenue (cancelled orders left out), Orders and Avg order.
  • Repeat customers: how many had ordered from you before. This is usually the number that matters most for a lunch trade.
  • Top sellers by units and revenue, and a Revenue trend over the period.
  • The split by location, by fulfilment type (collection or delivery) and by payment method. A split only appears when there's more than one of something to compare.
  • Website traffic: page views, the average per day, your busiest day, and how many visits turned into orders.
  • The referral figures, if you run a refer-a-friend programme (see Referrals).

Staff can see analytics too, but can't change anything from here.

Notifications

Notifications decides what reaches you and how. Order emails and printing are the kitchen's own channels and live under Settings → Printing. This page is for the extras.

On your phone (once you've installed the Pekkish app and signed in on it). Each person on your team sets their own:

  • New orders: a push for each order as it arrives. Orders placed ahead for today are announced in the morning brief instead.
  • Morning brief: one push with the day's orders ("12 orders today, 41 items") at a time the owner chooses.
  • Requests to confirm: when a customer asks for an order you need to accept or decline. Nothing is made or charged until you answer, so this is the one worth leaving on.
  • Printer problems: when a label printer runs out of paper, has its cover open or goes quiet.

By email, to the owner's address:

  • Your week: on Monday mornings, last week's orders, takings and best seller. Only in weeks you traded.
  • What your customers said: once a day at 4pm, and only when there's something. A customer reporting a problem with an order is always sent straight away.

Order emails, receipts and anything about your account or billing always come, whatever you choose here.

What's new

What's new lists changes and new features in Pekkish as we ship them. New entries carry a badge until you've seen them. Nothing there needs any action from you: it's there so a button that moved doesn't come as a surprise.

Telling us something

The speech-bubble button at the top of every admin page opens Tell us something: a bug, an idea, or something that confused you. It comes straight to the Pekkish team.
